1-year PROGRAM Timeline

Contemporary Psychoanalytic Concepts in Everyday Life One-Year Program

Classes start Monday, September 15th, 2025, and run the third Monday of every month through April 20, 2026. 

Classes are held from 6:15 pm - 9:00 pm.

Approximate monthly time commitment:

  • Monthly meeting 6:15 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Media: 2 hours

  • Psychoanalytic article(s): 1-2 hours


Enrolled participants will be expected to attend all classes through the academic year so that a working cohort of participants can form. Participants enrolled in this program are also invited to attend the Western Pennsylvania Community for Psychoanalytic Therapies weekend workshops which are day-long educational workshops for everyone engaged at the Community.  Weekend Workshops run quarterly.

Our 1-year educational program will be tuition-free and will provide enrolled participants with continuing education credits at no cost.

Our Contemporary Psychoanalytic Concepts in Everyday Life one-year program is open to all mental health clinicians across the Western Pennsylvania region. We welcome all clinicians (from early-career to experienced clinicians) seeking to deepen their understanding and clinical skills in psychoanalytic practice. Classes are held in the offices of our faculty, all located within the city of Pittsburgh.  Classes will be held in-person. CDC guidelines for group gatherings will be followed.
