MATT MARKON, LCSW
Matt Markon is a psychoanalyst in private practice. In the mid-1990s, Matt began providing group treatment to violent male offenders. Since then, Matt has worked with diverse populations providing both group and individual psychotherapy in a number of different treatment modalities. He has worked in state hospitals, community mental health clinics, and private practice. A licensed clinical social worker, Matt has provided mobile crisis services and been involved in critical incident stress debriefings. In 2001, Matt was a therapist in an experimental project providing free and anonymous online psychotherapy. Matt is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center. As a faculty member of the Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center, Matt has taught classes on psychoanalytic theory and technique, facilitated the clinical case report writing seminar, been an advisor to clinical candidates, and has served on the Education Committee. In his private practice, Matt provides psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision. Matt remains committed to teaching and learning as a WPCPT faculty member.
